The GONDOLAT-JEL is a quarterly for philosophy and the arts. It was founded by students at the József Attila University in [[Szeged]] in the 1970s. Since 1992, the GONDOLAT-JEL is an independent periodical. The’ purpose is to present contemporary Western thought and current trends in art and together with an up-to-date thematics and graphic design give the GONDOLAT-JEL an unique image among Hungarian cultural publications.

The editorial board consists of intellectuals from Budapest and Szeged:
László Tölgyes, – associate editor,
Ágnes Ivacs,– arts editor,
Zoltán Virág,– literature historian,
János Kurdy Fehér, – writer,
Beáta Tencz,– student.
