The trio IZO-FR was formed by Zsolt Kovács, Zsolt Sõrés and Pál Tóth (én) during the summer of 2001 in Budapest.

Multiple stratifications of textures made up of electronic sound, soundscapes generated by computer, recycles of concret music, the noises of the surrounding acoustic space and the sounds of home-made and stringed instruments is peculiar to the music of IZO-FR basically. In the performances of IZO-FR, the movement of sound extremes are unusual both in the dynamic and structural sense, and the non-conventional sounds of conventional instruments unite with digital sequencing and during live performances, by contact microphones.
