Born 1963 in Bludenz. She studied History of Art, Classical Archaeology and Journalism in Salzburg. Since 1994 she has worked in the Vienna Secession as a curator and event organizer. After diverse commissions as a curator Rhomberg was one of the persons responsible for Manifesta 3 held in [[Ljubljana]] in [[2000]]. On 1 January [[2002]] she became director of the Kölnischer Kunstverein (Cologne Art Association). With an ambitious volume about Július Koller, produced in [[2003]] together with the editor [[Roman Ondák]], she has helped make this Slovak painter known to a broader public.
