Marcin de Kaminski is a sociologist and doctoral candidate at the Dep. of Sociology of Law at Lund University and is member of the management team of Lund University Internet Institute (LUii). Marcin recently published a chapter in the anthology Youth Culture and Culture Net: Online Social Practices and has earlier studied at the Department of Behavioural Science, Linköping University. His research focuses on social movements on the Internet, both at micro and macro levels. Marcin is a long time net activist, currently affiliated with The Julia Group and member of the Digital Democracy Advisory Board of the Swedish Minister for Development Cooperations. He is also one of the founding members of the Piratbyrån, which all together makes him well aquipped with knowledge about the Internet in general and both net activism and the file-sharing community in specific. He lives in Linköping.
