Marek Pokorný is a critic and curator of contemporary art, and has been the director of the PLATO gallery in Ostrava since 2016. He is also the former director of the Moravian Gallery in Brno and in 2020 he was a candidate for the position of director of the National Gallery in Prague in 2020. In 1995 he founded the magazine Detail, which focused on the post-1989 art scene. He is a member of the board of Czech Radio. (2021)
