Mikhaïl Vladimirovich Alpatov (Михаи́л Владимирович Алпа́тов, 10 December 1902 - 9 May 1986) was a Soviet historian and art theorist.

Biography

  • (1919 - 21). Teaches since 1925 (in the Higher Art, Vhuteine, at the Moscow Institute of Philosophy, Literature and History, the Moscow State University), from 1943 - professor of the Moscow Art Institute. Surikov. Major works on the problems of the history of Russian and foreign art, characterized by lively exposition, brightness analysis of works of art, breadth of historical and cultural similarities. He was awarded the Order of Lenin and medal. Source
