Oliver Ressler (1970, Knittelfeld, Austria) is an artist and filmmaker who produces installations, projects in the public space, and films. His films cover current and past social movements from Occupy to the Bolivarian Process, along with worker-controlled factories, borders and migration, research on transnational corporations and privatization politics, ecological issues and much needed forms of democratic organizing. Over the years, he collaborated with the artists Zanny Begg (Sydney), Ines Doujak (Vienna), Martin Krenn (Vienna), Carlos Motta (New York), Gregory Sholette (New York), David Thorne (Los Angeles) and the political scientist Dario Azzellini (Berlin/New York). He lives in Vienna.
