Panoptykon Foundation (Fundacja Panoptykon) was set up in May 2009 with the aim to promote human rights in the context of "surveillance society" - contemporary forms of social control and supervision. Areas of interest include such topics as databases, CCTV, data retention, biometrics, secret services' powers, supervision of employees and various threats to free and open Internet. Belongs to European Digital Rights. Based in Warsaw.
