Sorin Vulcu

Sorin Vulcu (1939 - 1994) was a Romanian composer. He studied composition at National University of Music from Bucharest with Anatol Vieru (1958-1964), then in the same institution, he taught theory and he led the Electro-acoustic studio. He participated in the 70 International Summer Courses in Darmstadt. In composition he was interested with avant-garde music such as instrumental theater (Îndeletnicirile mele - My occupations, 1978, on the text of H. Michaux) and electronic music (he include the magnetic stripe on many of its tracks chamber or in various combinations with live instruments).
