Stella Rollig is the director of Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz. Since the mid 1980s, she has worked as an author, art critic and curator. In 1994 as Austrian Federal curator for Fine Arts she founded Depot - art and discussion - a space that embodied her aims of redefining the art institution as a place of activity discourse and involvement. She was also instrumental in the public space projects of Museum in Progress. In 2000 she curated the exhibition <hers> Video als weibliches Terrain as part of the Steirischer Herbst . 2003 / 2004 she has curated projects at the O.K Center for Contemporary Art, Linz, Austria. Amongst her exhibitions at O.K are The Promise, the Land - Jewish Israeli artists in relation to politics and society. At Lentos, she has curated exhibitions and projects with, among others, Darren Almond, Matt Mullican, Uli Aigner, Monika Oechsler, Edgar Arceneaux & Charles Gaines, Johanna and Helmut Kandl. Lives in Linz and Vienna.
