Tihamér Nemes
1895-1960. His name is known for almost all students who learn Information Technology at school because one of the most important national school contest in IT was named after Nemes Tihamér. In 1935 he invented a machine that was able to read and write letters. In connection with it he studied the speaking machine of Kempelen. This work contains some intresting approaches of him. He is considered as the forerunner of recognising and recording sounds. In 1949 he dealt with the 2-step-chess problem in one of his study. He drew a sketch of this machine. Unfortunately, it was impossible to build it. He participated in creating the first Hungarian picture and sound-making TV set. He observed the human body and with the help of this knowledge he created a machine that was able to write down the speaking. It was a kind of neurological model.
