Yoana Buzova (Йоана Бузова, 1987, Bulgaria) is an artist and educator who is interested in public space and short-term, neglected moments and objects. She uses low-tech, DIY methods, found and repurposed materials to create urban interventions that interrupt passers-by and engage them in temporary fictions. Installation, intervention and handmade intertwine in her work. Collaboration, accumulation and distribution of knowledge also occupy an important place in her work.

Yoana Buzova holds an MA in Media Design & Communication Department from the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam (2014) and a BA in Photography from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria. She works as a tutor and instructor at the Willem de Kooning Academy's Interaction Station. She is a member of Varia. Based in Rotterdam. (2022)
