(Venezuela / USA) Using video, text and photography, Castillo’s installations are site-specific constructs attached to traveling concepts, interventions engaging with history and space, where ancient tools and contemporary devices combine in a post-colonial discourse. Molecular Biologist and Artist (MFA Art University Caracas, MFA Public Art and PhD Arts Bauhaus University Weimar). Numerous exhibits, e.g. in Brussels, Buenos Aires, Mexico, NY, Salzburg, Budapest. Resides and works in Plymouth and Berlin.
