PAF
PAF is an association and cultural platform for film and contemporary art, based in Olomouc, Czech Republic. In 2000, it launched the first festival in the Czech Republic dedicated to film animation, PAF – Festival of Film Animation. Since 2002, it is held annually in the baroque buildings of the Arts Centre of Palacký University, Olomouc. On the occasion of its 15th edition it was renamed PAF – Festival of Film Animation and Contemporary Art to highlight its embrace of the broad definition of animation spanning cinematography and visual arts.
The main activities of PAF include the publishing branch Edition PAF, presentation of Czech audio-visual art, curating exhibitions, projections, workshops and seminars, as well as the year-round curatorial and dramaturgical work that culminates in festivals and events held in the Czech Republic and abroad.
