András Cséfalvay

András Cséfalvay is a visual artist, digital storyteller, musician and mytho-poet from Bratislava. He is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, and co-founder of the Digital Arts Platform. After studying painting and mathematics, he wrote his dissertation on the usefulness and reality of fiction. His interest is imbalances in the relationship between culture and technology, and political and ethical aspects of listening to nondominant voices in world interpretation. (2024)

  • editor, Shape of Future Earth, Bratislava: Academy of Fine Arts and Design, 2023, 131 pp. A collection of essays by visiting fellows of the Digital Arts Platform at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The book explores different ways of referencing the future planet. It considers non-anthropocentric perspectives, explores the matrix and computational intelligences as acting entities, delineates the limits of scientific models and their situational uses, and names the impact of war on the ecology of the earth and the bodies within it. The essays were written by Enda O'Riordan, Lenka Hamošová, Oleksii Kuchansky, Natália Trejbalová, Lukáš Likavčan, and editor András Cséfalvay. Symposium. Book launch. (English)
