Jana Francová
Jana Francová deals with intermedia approaches to video, both in artistic practice and theoretical reflection. She is interested in the interaction of art with other areas, for example, in collaboration with theater and video in installations and public spaces. She has created several video projects and performances that combine projections with musical compositions and movement. She has been exhibiting since 1994. On a theoretical level, she focuses on reflections of media and audiovisuality as a theme for her students and children and as a source of inspiration for her further creations. She has organized several workshops on animation and has also worked with media for children and students. She regularly presents her students’ videos at the Scala Video Festival at the Scala Cinema.
She graduated from the Faculty of Education Masaryk University (fields of study: Upper Secondary School Teacher Training in Art and Graphics), and the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Brno University of Technology (Keiko Sei Video Studio). (2021)
