Joseph Villard (June 8, 1838 - March 16, 1898) was a French photographer born in Ploaré (Brittany). It will develop "maison Villard" editor of cards postales.

Joseph Villard, was introduced to the photo by his brother Jean-Marie Villard who was trained in Paris by Nadar and Daguerre. It shows the photography workshop created by Jean-Marie Quimper and develops browsing Brittany walk and bike in search of picturesque subjects or monuments. It is over the years a unique collection of photographic plates.
