Katalin Timár works as a curator in the Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest where her projects include Ludwig Goes Pop + The East Side Story (2015), Economize! (2017) and Tamás Király: Out of the Box (2019). She was the curator of the Hungarian Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale in 2007 – with the participation of Andreas Fogarasi, which received the Golden Lion Award for Best National Pavilion. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and teaches art history and theory at the Department of Aesthetics at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. She is a board member of the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT) since 2015. (2020)
