Katarzyna Cytlak

Katarzyna Cytlak is an art historian based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Poznań, Poland, whose research focuses on artistic production in Central Europe and Latin America. She studies conceptual art, radical and utopian architecture, socially engaged art, and art theory in relation to post-socialist countries from a transmodern and transnational perspective. She received her PhD from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2012. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, Argentina (CONICET) and at the University of San Martín, Argentina. She is a fellow of the University Paris 4 Sorbonne (Paris), the Terra Foundation for American Art (Washington D.C., New York, San Francisco) and the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art (Paris). In 2018 and 2019 she participated in the CAA-Getty International Programme. Her publications include articles in Umění/Art, Eadem Utraque Europa, Telón de Fondo, Third Text, RIHA Journal, and Modos (Universidade Estadual de Campinas). (2022)
