Lidia Makowska
Born 1970. Arts manager, activist, head of the International Program in the Baltic Sea Culture Centre in Gdańsk/Poland, among others realised project like: Baltic Sea Identity Workshop (1998-2002), „artGENDA Hamburg 2002, Grass-Danzig-Gdünsk-Gdańsk (1999-2001), SEAS in the former Gdansk Shipyard (2002-2005). Since 2004 coordinator of the ARS BALTICA Secretariat (forum created by 10 ministries of culture in the Baltic Sea Region to develop the multilateral co-operation); in 2004-2006 Board Member of the European Forum of the Arts and Heritage (EFAH) in Brussels. Her field of activity includes art activism, multilateral co-operation, cultural policy and project management. President of the CITY CULTURE Association (reactivated in 2006). Lives in Gdansk.
