Paula Perissinotto
Paula Perissinotto specialises in new media, contemporary art and digital culture. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from FAAP and a Masters in Visual Poetics from ECA (School of Communications and Arts at USP - University of São Paulo). She holds a specialisation in Curatorship and Cultural Practices in Art and New Media from MECAD / ESDI in (Barcelona / ES). Since 2000, Paula Perissinotto has been co-organiser and co-director of FILE, the International Electronic Language Festival, a non-profit cultural organisation that promotes and supports aesthetic and cultural productions related to the new poetics of contemporary culture. At the festival, she is responsible for the selection of works, international relations and the management of the projects carried out in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. She has taught Art and Technology at FASM, in the Fine Arts course, and Art Theory and Criticism, Aesthetics and History of Modern Art in the Design courses at IED-São Paulo. She implemented and coordinated the undergraduate course in Digital Design at the IED-SP European Institute of Design, in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2020, she joined the University of São Paulo, School of Communications and Arts | ECA, as a Ph.D. student in Visual Poetics. She is a member of the Realidades research group, licensed by CNPq, led by Prof. Dr. Silvia Laurentiz and Prof. Dr. Marcus Bastos (vice-director), which in turn is formally associated with the School of Communications and Arts and the Department of Visual Arts, ECA/USP.
