The poema/processo is an artistic/cultural movement that began in the 1960s, originating from the cultural movement known as Intensivismo, which developed in parallel with concretism, with the poet Wlademir Dias-Pino as its main proponent.

Launched simultaneously in Natal and Rio de Janeiro by Moacy Cirne, Wlademir Dias-Pino, Álvaro de Sá, Neide Dias de Sá, Anselmo Santos, Dailor Varela, Anchieta Fernandes, Falves Silva, Nei Leandro de Castro, Sanderson Negreiros, Pedro Bertolino, Hugo Mund Jr. among others. Subsequently, Joaquim Branco, Sebastião Carvalho, José Arimathéa, Ronaldo Werneck and, later, Jota Medeiros, Bianor Paulino, Juliano Lobato, with his Poemas Sem Palavras (Poems Without Words), and Almandrade joined the movement with their semiotic-graphic-visual poems, in addition to semantic-verbal projects.
