scheinschlag (with the changing subtitles: Zeitschrift für Mitte, Zeitschrift aus Mitte, Zeitung für die Berliner Innenstadt, Berliner Stadtzeitung and Zeitschrift für Berlin) was a free neighborhood newspaper for the former Berlin borough and current district of Berlin-Mitte and the neighboring areas. The paper was published from 1990 to 2007 and focused on reporting on local politics, primarily housing policy, as well as the independent art and literature scene. [1]
