Artist-run space in Dresden. A bar, a project space and studios. Stock 7 rents the space from the Woba (a housing co-op). According to Dirk Lange the high number of artists’ spaces is a result of the amount of empty properties. Stock7’s programme is typified by ‘show – not tell’: people are invited to discuss and exchange ideas about a particular subject, there is food and drinks and an open atmosphere. Stock7 has won a prize, which gives them the finances to invite people from outside Dresden and to publish.
