Syndicat Potentiel
Syndicat Potentiel is an artists' association that has been active in Strasbourg since 1992. Its aim is to support contemporary art in its most experimental forms and to encourage interaction with civil society. Since 2018, with the move to new premises in the Neudorf, and following several months of meetings and reflection, the Syndicat Potentiel's Artistic Council has implemented new guidelines that take into account the possibilities offered by this new space and the area in which it is located. The aim is to place at the heart of its associative and artistic project forms of life, experimental creative processes, and modes of research, consultation and archiving, linked to practices that are developing in the social, economic, political and urban fields, both inside and outside spaces dedicated to art. Its main current areas of research revolve around co-creation and the place of the artist in society, and the interaction between art and public space and art and the environment. The preferred forms are encounters, collective or co-creation projects, residencies and research projects. (2020)
