Værkstedet Værst
Værkstedet Værst was a studio community, art school and exhibition space in Copenhagen that formed a central part of De Unge Vilde. Værkstedet Værst bridged the gap between the late avant-garde and early postmodernism and existed from 1981 to the turn of 1983/1984.
It was formed by Erik A. Frandsen and Dorte Østergaard Jakobsen and also had Inger Bech Hansen, Christian Lemmerz, Lars Nørgård, Ane Mette Ruge and Jacob F. Schokking as permanent members. In addition, a number of artists, performers and others participated in Værkstedet Værst's activities, and outside artists rented studio space at the centre. Værkstedet Værst worked collectively and experimentally within painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, film, land art and performance. [1]
