Roel Roscam Abbing (1990, NL) is currently pursuing a PhD in Interaction Design at Malmö University’s School of Arts and Communication (K3). There he researches alternative social media, on-line federation and community-owned digital infrastructure. Furthermore, he works as an artist and media designer with a highly collaborative practice that engages with network infrastructures, the politics, and materiality of technology, do-it-yourself approaches and self-organization.

He holds an MA Networked Media from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam and a Fine Arts BA (Hon) from the Willem De Kooning Academy.
