Savel Cheptea (1930-2010) was a Romanian artist and photographer, born in Hotin (Basarabia, Romania). Teacher at Institutul de Arte Plastice Ion Andreescu in Cluj. He was a promoter of optical cinetism in Romanian art and independent creator of photographic diorama.
