Guy Schraenen is a curator, publisher and advisor and founder of the publishing house Guy Schraenen éditeur and the Archive for Small Press & Communication (A.S.P.C.). Furthermore he is an author of essays and various publications. His activities are mainly focused on artists' publications of the various international avant-garde and independent art movements from the late 1950s until the 1980s.
He also founded the Galerie Kontakt in Antwerp (1965-78), A.S.P.C. (1974, together with Anne Marsily), and the artists' publication collection A Museum within a Museum in the Neues Museum Weserburg Bremen (1989).
