Yvonne Volkart is lecturer in art theory and cultural media studies at the Institute of Aesthetic Practice and Theory IAeP, Academy of Art and Design, FHNW Basel, and at the Master of Arts in Art Education, Zurich University of the Arts. She is senior researcher of the SNF-funded project Times of Waste at the Institute of Experimental Design and Media Studies IXDM, Academy of Art and Design FHNW Basel, which engages with inventive approaches to workshops, audio walking, mappings and video essays in order to query the long ways, transformations and left-overs of the smartphone and its wastes.
