Contra'66, commonly referred to as only Contra, was a magazine founded and edited by artist J. Swaminathan. Published in English from New Delhi, the magazine ran between 1966 and 1967. Contra was an independently run magazine fashioned on the lines of the 'little magazine movement' in India that was active in several Indian languages in the 1960s. The magazine featured an array of content that included poems, essays, and exhibition reviews.
