Gottfried Haider is an artist, educator, and software tool builder. He currently holds the position of Assistant Arts Professor at NYU Shanghai. Prior to this appointment, Haider was an instructor at ArtCenter College of Design, as well as at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague, and the Design Media Arts program at UCLA. He received a degree in Digital Arts from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (2009), and an MFA from the Design Media Arts program the University of California Los Angeles (2013). He also studied at the Media Design Department of the Piet Zwart Institute (2008). Haider's art has been presented in numerous exhibitions and festivals internationally. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship and an Award of Distinction at Prix Ars Electronica. (2024, upd.)
