Paviljong Våtmark (Wetland Pavilion) is a collaboration between artists with a shared interest in long-term studies of place as an artistic process.

Central to Paviljong is a reflection on national parks, nature reserves and the conservation of land areas, both as an idea with its historical background, but also as a reflection of widespread ways of thinking and values in different periods of time.

As part of the project, the “Wetland Library” is being developed, a model for artistic collaboration where works can be reactivated, for example, ten, thirty and fifty years into the future. In this way, the works, together with the border zone, will function as a “time lens”, not only for the changes in the area, but also for changes in the understanding of the interaction between life in the zone.

Paviljong Våtmark takes place in and around the Østensjøvannet nature reserve in Oslo.

The artist group consists of Andrea Bakketun, Espen Sommer Eide, Geir Tore Holm, Øyvind Novak Jenssen, Søssa Jørgensen, Signe Lidén, Marie Nerland, Randi Nygård and Karoline Sætre. The project manager is Signe Lidén, Jiska Huizing is the producer, and Hild Borchgrevink is the project writer. (2024)
