Astrid Lorange
Astrid Lorange is a writer, researcher, and lecturer at the University of New South Wales. She studied writing and cultural studies at the University of Technology, Sydney, where she completed her doctoral thesis on Gertrude Stein and Alfred North Whitehead. She has taught literature, social and cultural theory, visual and material cultures, and design thinking.
Her first book, How Reading is Written: A Brief Index to Gertrude Stein is forthcoming in late 2014 from Wesleyan University Press [1]. Her poetry books FOOD TURNS INTO BLOOD, one that made it alike, Minor Dogs, and Eating and Speaking. She has published scholarly articles, reviews, and essays locally and internationally. She is an occasional collaborator on new media installation and evental/durational works, and a member of the assignment-based group Collective Task. She is also a co-editor of the AUS-US chapbook press, SUS.
Astrid's research interests include conceptual writing, poetry and poetics, philosophy of science, twentieth-century aesthetics, gender and sexuality studies, transnational feminisms, practice-led scholarship, and critical pedagogy. (Source)
