Cyberconf was an international conference that addressed the social, political and cultural implications of cyberspace from a critical standpoint and encouraged discussion between theoreticians and practitioners. Founded in 1991 by Michael Benedikt, it ran for 7 editions until 1998. The first iteration of the conference was published in "Cyberspace: First Steps" (MIT Press, 1991) edited by Michael Benedikt including contributions by William Gibson, Marcos Novak, Sandy Stone, Michael Heim, and more.
