Datatransfer

Started 2001 as the Prague's festival of cyber culture, in 2002 fused with Design Days in Prague Designblok as its digital film and graphic design video section. Program is centered on the cooperation with London's onedotzero festival. Organised by Profil Media.

Director: Jana Semerádová, program director: Danny Holman, production: Šárka Halastová, all cooperating with Denisa Kera and Dan Špaček on the conception.

Program

12 - 24 November 2001. Program consisted of opening AV performance by Floex and young Czech fine artists, exhibition of music posters, onedotzero screenings, panel discussion on use of new media (Scanner, Andy Martin, Petr Motyčka, Federico Diaz, Marek Pistora, LP Fish), performance by Scanner, festival spots screened at subway projection screens, public banner competition.

4 - 5 October 2002. Screenings of onedotzero festival and filmography of Johnny Hardstaff.

10 - 11 October 2003. Screenings of short films from Czech and Slovak filmmakers and designers, onedotzero selection, and retrospective of Michel Gondry.

8 - 10 October 2004. Screenings: retrospective of Shynola collective, ad director Ivan Zacharias, digital films and interactive projects by Czech visual artists.

9 October 2005. Screenings: videos and animations from young Czech graphic designers and Justin Kerrigan. The selection was presented as Czech style at the festivals Sónar and onedotzero.

2006 planned as an event independent from Design Days.
