David Cortez Medalla (23 March 1942, Manila, Philippines – 28 December 2020, Manila, Philippines) was a Filipino international artist and political activist. His work ranged from sculpture and kinetic art to painting, installation, and performance art.

He co-founded Signals London in 1964 and edited the Signals Newsbulletin until 1966. Medalla founded the Exploding Galaxy, an artists collective, in 1967 and from 1974-77 was chairman of Artists for Democracy, dedicated to supporting liberation movements worldwide. He lived and worked between London, New York and Paris.
