Ege Berensel (born 1968 in Muğla) is a video-artist, now lives in Ankara. He is a member of the Angela Melitopoulos’ and Maurizio Lazzarato Timescapes Group. His videos "Panopticon" and "Mü / hür" have been awarded prizes at film festivals nationally and internationally. His video installation 'here (t) here' was exhibited at the "B Zone" at the KW Berlin in 2005, and then at the Fundació Antoni Tapies, Barcelona in 2007. The "Hill Doesn’t Chant Anymore" was exhibited in the10th International İstanbul Biennial. Berensel has curated media art exhibitions, including: Thieves Like Us, Video: Spaces of Memory in Ankara, Meeting Europe in Strasbourg, Turkey: 35 years of video art in Strasbourg and Videfesta'10, an International Festival of Media Arts. He is also founder of the media activist collective Vitopya and Videfesta Media and Digital Arts Festival.
