Since 1972 worked in Výpočtové stredisko Ústavu technickej kybernetiky SAV in [[Bratislava]] as a system programmer, responsible for graphic libraries, winning an access to CalComp plotter. In 1973 started to provide [[Jozef Jankovič]] computer support for computer graphics, including digital figural transformations. There were only two computers in SAV and upon order from an institution, it was given the access for 1-2 hours a week. Bertók was basically algorithmizating Jankovič's rationalizations (process later named as "controlled serendipity"). Final graphic was made by Jankovič based on plotted print. Since 1990 works in ecological modeling.
