Katarzyna Cytlak is an art historian whose research focuses on the art of Central Europe and Latin America. She works on conceptual art, radical and utopian architecture, socially engaged art and art theory in relation to post-socialist countries from a trans-modern, transnational and decolonial perspective. She received her PhD from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2012. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research - Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas in Argentina (CONICET) and the University of San Martín. In 2018 she taught at the School of Humanities of the University of San Martín. She has held fellowships from the University of Paris 4 Sorbonne (Paris), the Terra Foundation for American Art (Washington, New York, San Francisco) and the National Institute of Art History - Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art (Paris). In 2018 and 2019 she participated in the international programme of CAA-Getty. Selected publications include articles in Umění/Art, Eadem Utraque Europa, Telón de Fondo, Third Text, RIHA Journal, Modos and de arte. (2022)
