Marie Meixnerová

Marie Meixnerová (1986) is a PhD candidate at the Department of Art Education of the Palacký University, Olomouc. Since 2012 she is a programme manager (2013-2015 also head media manager) of the annual PAF Festival of Film Animation in Olomouc. She graduated in English Philology (2010), Film Studies and Communication Studies (2014) from the Palacký University, Olomouc. Her long-term research and curatorial activities are focussed on the communication and interpretation strategies of internet art. She also specialises in the history and theory of moving image and animation in the broad sense, especially in the relation to digital art and the audience. In addition, she deals with the history of television and television genres, new media and visual communication. She has published her theoretical and critical writings broadly. She is one of the curators at Screen Saver Gallery (since 2013) and the editor of the experimental film section of the 25fps film magazine (from 2011). She works as an internet and conceptual artist under her moniker (c) merry.
