Martin Blažíček (1976) is media artist from Prague, Czech Republic. His work includes short films, videos, live image performances and objects. He has created generative image and sound for the post-dance project Roj. He collaborated with the live coding group Kolektiv (2012-2016), live film project Mikroloops (2007-2011), Ultra (2000-2002) and numerous musicians and visual artists including Michal Zbořil, Kryštof Pešek, Steven Ball, Andras Blazsek, Zenial, Arszyn, Hannes Hoelzl, Bryan Eubanks, Veronika Resslová, Kateřina Zochová, and Vojtěch Procházka.

He curated NoLab at Roxy/Nod Prague (2007-2009), ScreenLab series at Školská 28 Gallery Prague (2010-2012) and The Hole site-specific sound gallery (2013).

He has published texts on music, film and media arts in Cinepur, A2, Iluminace, Kino Ikon, Flash Art, and other journals.

Since 2011 he teaches at the Center for Audiovisual Studies at the Film Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. His areas of interest include new media, code-based art, avant-garde and experimental film.

His live performances, films and videos were shown at Pioneer Works New York, Lunchmeat Festival Prague, Live Cinema Festival Rome, Contact Festival London, MAK Vienna, High Zero at Theatre Project Baltimore, Optosonic Tea at Diapason Gallery NY, Lux London, Anthology Film NY, DDM Gallery Shanghai, IDFF Jihlava, PAF Olomouc, City Gallery Leeds, Arnolfini Bristol, Entropia Gallery Wroclaw, Zamok Ujazdovski Warsaw, Art Factory Lodz, Cinema Nova Brusel, Galerie Rudolfinum Prague, IFF Rotterdam, and elsewhere.
