Miloš Vojtěchovský (15 April 1955, Prague) graduated in Art History and Aesthetics from Charles University, Prague (1980). Since the early 1980s he has been involved in independent music, visual art, action art, and curatorial work. He lectured on East European Art at the Centrum voor Kunstgeschiedenis Amsterdam (1992-1994) and was the founder and the only employee of Oko Production, an exhibition space in Amsterdam (1988-1992). He is the initiator, researcher, co-producer and co-author of the interactive educational project Orbis Pictus Revised (1991-1995) commisioned for ZKM Karlsruhe and created by Imaginary Museum Project founded by Tjebbe van Tijen. Miloš was founder of the Center for Metamedia Plasy at Plasy Monastery (1991-2000), an initiator of The Hermit Foundation (with Jiří Kornatovský, 1991), and curator in the Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art at National Gallery Prague (1995-2000). He worked as a programme curator at LABoratory at the Center for Contemporary Arts Prague (2000-2003) where he ran the broadcasting project Radio Jeleni (2000-2004), consequently co-founding the Lemurie TAZ streaming project (2004-2009), and afterwards an online platform and community project focussing on sonic landscape of Prague, Zvuky Prahy / Sounds of Prague (since 2008). From 1999 he also worked in the Školská 28 gallery. He lectured on media art, contemporary art and communication studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Technical University (FaVU VUT) in Brno (1997-2004), Center for Audiovisual Studies at FAMU (from 2004), and he co-organised the course Intermedia creativity and technologies between AMU, ČVUT and AVU in Prague. In 2007, together with Roman Berka he founded Institute of Intermedia. He has published in Dutch, German, Belgian, English, and Czech magazines since 1988 and in samizdat since 1975. He lives in Prague and Krásná Hora, Czech Republic.
