Society for Electroacoustic Music is based in Prague and Brno. Founded in 1990 by Karel Odstrčil as a part of Association of music artists and theorists. Counts more than 80 members including composers, music theorists, sound technicians, programmers and friends of electroacoustic music. Organizes concerts, festivals, conferences, and seminars. Released number of records. Since 1992 annualy organizes competition of electroacoustic composition Musica Nova.
