The first edition of the +3dB Contemporary Sound Art festival was held between May 6-8, 2009 in Budapest.

Shinji Kanki (JAP) Experimental music composer, producer, educator and representative of SILAKKA Productions. He has composed music for dolphins according to conventions found in dolphin music or found to please dolphins in his Music for Dolphins (Ultrasonic Improvisational Composition) for underwater ultrasonic loudspeakers (2001).

The second edition of the +3dB Contemporary Sound Art festival was held between May 11-14, 2010. The festival was organized by the artist group BA-Unrated and Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás.

Hans W. Koch (DE) Audio-visual artist, composer, and performer.

Gergő Nagy (HU) His main working areas are sound installation, performance and music composition. He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2009. Co-founder of the group BA-Unrated. His sound object called Sinus shows the physical changes of a bipolar sinus curve.

George Bagdasarov (AM/CZ) Works in various fields of art, as a composer, performer and documentary film director.

Ahad Zsolt Sőrés (HU) Born 1969 in Budapest Zsolt Sőrés aka Ahad Improvised/electroacoustic and noise musician, sound artist, editor, performance and conceptual artist. In his improvisation he uses analogue and digital instruments; tabletop viola, selected percussion, home-made rugophone, contact microphones, objects, DAT-recorder, mixer feedback.

László Vidovszky(HU) Well-known Hungarian composer, musician. Professor of University of Pécs, Faculty of Music and Visual Arts. He won the Kossuth Prize in 2010. Presents one of his audio-visual works entitled Na-Ne Audio Video Games (1990). The ’instrument’ required is a nowadays abandoned tool, an Atari ST computer.
