Digital signal processing and sound performances

Sound artists got interested in DSP from a variety of backgrounds: serious music composing (Burlas, Matej, Piacek, Zoffaj), industrial music fan (Bittner, Toth), punk & DIY (Urbsounds, Rbnx, Urbanfailure, Jamka), garsonka folk (Kladivo, Burgr), theatre performances (Murin, Burgr, Vlk).

Techniques include

  • software-based DSP using Reaktor (Poo), Abbleton (Oliver Irsai), Max/MSP (Martin Vysoky, Zoffaj, Kordik, Kladivo), and in combination with accoustic instruments (Martin Vysoky, Pink Big Pig)
  • electronics (Rbnx [self-made], Urbanfailure, Jamka)
  • live electronics (Matej)
