Konkretne je spornym bodom cc-by-sa to, ze nie je uplne totalne presne povedane, co vsetko sa musi pod cc-by-sa vydat v pripade, ze by sa napriklad osm mapa spojila na webovom portali s nemapovymi datami (trebars includovanim osm appletu do stranky). podla niektorych nazorov pravnikov nie je pre komercne spolocnosti bezpecne OSM pouzivat (vyjadrenie pravnickeho oddelenia jednej spol. ktora chcela OSM vyuzit).
