Letné dielne / Summer Open Academy was held in two editions on 12-26 August 2006 and 24 August to 7 September 2007 at the facilities of 13m3 and Tranzit initiatives at Zlaté piesky resort in Bratislava. The area was earlier refurbished from concrete factory into a complex of contemporary art gallery and artistic studios. Besides being situated within industrial zone at the periphery of the Slovak capital, the location is very specific also due to close neighborhood of large shopping palace on north and west and socialist holiday resort on south and east. The event was coordinated by Magdaléna Kobzová and Dušan Barok, and organised by 13m3.

In 2006 the programme consisted of workshops, lectures, performances and discussions between image, sound, text, software, hardware, objects, location, society and performance.
