Étienne-Louis Boullée, proposal for the Cénotaphe à Newton [Newton Memorial], interior, 1784.
Aldo Rossi, et al., The Analogous City, 1976.

A collection of source documents in the history, theory and criticism of architecture.

The page is designed for both the novice in the field and the more experienced researcher. It brings together the elements of library classification and data visualisation. The table of contents provides a general structure of sections, most of which are further divided into thematic subsections. Another way of reading the page is to search for a specific name, keyword or book title and explore neighboring elements.

Architects, theorists, historians, initiatives

Key monographs

This section contains a selection of canonical books on architecture, loosely grouped into themes. Each volume is accompanied with its published translations into five languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish), a short annotation and a list of reviews and commentaries available online. For more books see Monographs; for more writings by individual authors see their respective Pages.
