The Multiplace server, which hosts Monoskop and other websites, participated in the research project Art Doc Archive, led by art historians Lukas Fuchsgruber of the Technische Universität Berlin and Anna Schäffler. We created an archive containing browsable and searchable copies of nearly thirty websites of invited artists and initiatives. The process and approach is described in the essay "For Artist and Community Web Archives". The experience opened the way for further experiments in web archiving and the setting up of a dedicated section on the Monoskop wiki.
